One of the most effective ways that
kids can learn is by playing games— board games, card games, and yes, even
video games! PBS KIDS is participating in the 2012
National STEM Video Game Challenge, an annual competition to motivate
interest in STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) learning among
America's youth by tapping into students' natural passion for playing and
making video games.
Through the National STEM Video Game Challenge, teams of middle school
students, high schoolers, college students, and teachers can compete for
incredible prizes including laptops and cash ranging from $2,000- 10,000!
