Teens may have their own style, making it tricky to buy them things they'll like, but this year think outside the gift card with gift picks for everyone from the geeky, uber-glam, to the gamer. Imagine their surprise when they find a wrapped gift under the tree!
Clocky ($27.89 from Amazon)— Any teen that ever has
trouble getting out of bed won’t with Clocky, an alarm clock with personality
who can force even the most tired out of bed. Upon going off, Clocky emits an annoyingly loud shriek
before jumping off the bedside table and rolling across the floor (works on
carpet and wood). Annoying? Yes. Effective in getting you out of
bed in order to get it to be quiet?
Absolutely! Just remember
to turn it off on the weekends.
Trust me on this.
Belkin RockStar Multi-Headphone Splitter ($19.95)—
This headphone splitter allows your teen to share the latest viral YouTube sensation or coolest new song with 5 friends.
Everyone plugs in to listen at once which is much better than trying to strain to hear the audio in a
loud room. Just remember to unplug
before rocking out too much or you may anger those who you were previously
attached to.
Mini Dot Make-Up Brush Roll ($19.50)—
Eight makeup brushes are stored neatly, making them easy to find when they are
returned to their proper place and easy to pack for touch ups on the go.
Monogram this compact set for a special touch since she’ll have this for
years to come. Pottery Barn is offering
free shipping on this product.
Jawbone
Jambox ($199.99)— Whether in your dorm room or on the go, Jambox is an
attractive portable speaker that easily fills an entire room with sound. Don’t be fooled by its compact
appearance. Just plug it in to
your laptop or use the Bluetooth connection to play music from your phone and stand
back because the sound is THAT good.
The 4 Elements of the Perfect Shave by The
Art of Shaving ($10, Sephora)— Start your teen off on the right foot with this
quartet of shaving essential from The Art of Shaving, a company well known for
their high quality products that use a blend of botanicals. The set includes lavender pre-shave
oil, lavender shaving cream, a shaving brush, and lavender after shave balm. Giving the gift of luxurious shave
products helps to decrease the probability that this set also doubles as a
lesson in hygiene.
Oregon
Scientific’s High Definition All Terrain Video Camera with G Force Sensor
($349)— Young movie makers with a preference for extreme sports will love
that the All Terrain Video Camera can be mounted almost anywhere to capture the
most extreme sports in high definition thanks to its rugged waterproof casing. Take this camera underwater, on the
slopes, or through the mud on motor cross adventure. It can handle the bumps and water and will even capture the
force of gravity upon acceleration thanks to the G Force Sensor. A must for extreme sports enthusiasts despite the initial sticker shock.
Philosophy Much Mistletoeing Lip Shine
Set ($20, Sephora)— Philosophy’s set of 4 shiny glosses is an
affordable and festive gift that promises to keep lips beautifully moisturized
throughout the winter. Colors
include the sheer pink shimmery Marshmallows for Toasting, Cinnamon Buns (light
gold sheen), the sheer red sparkly shade called Tinsel Town, and Peppermint
Bark (sheer brick red.)
World
of Warcraft Legendary Mouse ($79.99)— Even though you may wish that your teen
would spend more time studying and less playing World of Warcraft, this limited
edition mouse is designed to enhance game play. The 11 customizable programmable buttons, ergonomic design,
smooth feel in your hand, and lightning bolt design make it appealing to
novices to the most experienced WOW player. So give in, let them game comfortably, and take pride in knowing you bought something that your gaming teen will love. At least until you take it away for spending too much time playing WOW and too little doing homework.
Namaste
Cali Zuma Handbag ($79)— Roomy
for all her belongings, yet lots of pockets to keep her organized, the Namaste
Cali Handbag comes in fun brights (Hollywood Pink, lime, or peacock) or
classic colors such as black, eggplant, or red. The handles rest comfortably on your shoulder while the unique
shape tucks right up against your body and the entire bag opens wide so you can
find exactly what you need quickly.
iBoy
by Kevin Brooks ($17.99)— Tom
Harvey was just an average teen but a head-on collision with high technology
has turned him into an App.
With iPhone fragments embedded into his brain, Tom has new powers that
effect his every thought. This
science fiction book is a must read for any iDevice loving teen and can create some interesting dinner time conversations about the what-ifs of being transformed into an app.

ReplyDeleteWOW, that video camera is AWEmazing! I have a 12 year old daughter and 14 year old son, plus an older teen AND yet 3 older ones. ALL of them would really like these items. The brush set is SWEET and the shave set perfect for my son! But, HOLY COW *and I can get away with saying that cuz' I am from Wisconsin, I think that camera is too cool for words!
ReplyDeleteCan you send me some of those alarms please? I need 3 plus one for hubby too:)
thanks so much for sharing these...I have NO idea most of the time what teens are into. My kids don't ask for much so it's tough to know.
